Garras instructor, Anker Fuglsang returns home from a 3 month BJJ vaccation.
In early July 2011, the enthusiastic brown belt flew over to California.
With the beautiful back drops of Long beach, Anker only had eyes for the
IBJJF ‘Mundials’ World Jiu Jitsu Championships where competitors of the
world battled for the world champion title.
Living under the roof of the very technical Head Coach Kevin Howells’ Jiu Jitsu League,
Anker was able to learn and teach. Anker says “I learned a lot form both teaching and
training while in Long Beach, plus we always had special guests like Bruno Frazatto,
Davi Ramos (the king of footlocks), Gilbert Durniho and Andre Galvao Abu Dahbi 2011 Champion”.
“It was a great experience and I feel that it improved my game greatly, plus I made tonnes of new friends”.
