Yes! We offer beginner-friendly Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu classes every day, with sessions running from early morning to late evening.

Absolutely. We welcome visitors from interstate and overseas! Visitor memberships are available for short stays of one month or less (fees apply).

We recommend arriving 15 minutes early on your first day to complete a waiver and health questionnaire

Not at all! Jiu-Jitsu will help you get fit and build endurance. Gym workouts are great, but BJJ has unique cardio requirements, and we’ll help you adjust.

Wear comfortable athletic wear, like compression clothing or sports-focused attire. Please avoid clothing with pockets, zippers, buttons, or any hard items that could cause injury.

Yes, Garra BJJ has approved Gi and NoGi apparel available for purchase at our gyms and on our website. Members wear Garra’s “Team Uniform,” but visiting practitioners are welcome to wear their own Gi if they are from interstate or overseas.

Besides an open mindset, bring water, a towel, and flip-flops (thongs) for use outside the mat area.

Each class includes a warm-up, technique demonstrations, and time to practice in a “roll” session. We finish with a warm-down and stretching to prevent injury.

“Rolling” is a term for free-form training, similar to “sparring” in striking martial arts. It lets students apply what they’ve learned in a safe, controlled setting.

Yes, we understand the unique challenges faced by Fly-In Fly-Out (FIFO) workers and offer a special membership at 70% of our standard rates. This allows you to maximize your training during your time at home. To take advantage of this offer, please provide proof of FIFO employment upon registration.
